healthy lunches

Every day it is more and more warm here. So yesterday we went to have lunch at the Männiku sandpit (Männiku karjäär). I was a little hesitant at first, as this place is primarily known from the scary novels (it is where they hide the bodies).

In reality it was really, really nice. Pine trees, hot sand, clean-looking water, not too crowded.
So my lunch consisted of:
dip in the water
salad+yoghurt
dip in the water
0,5 l water
relaxing on the beach
dip in the water

Healthy:)
I loved it!

gaggle of geese

This morning started with a story by my new British friend Don.
Quote: "As I went into work, I saw a gaggle of 15 or 16 geese walking along the side of the building. Quick as a flash, I hid round the corner and when they appeared I leapt out and shouted "BOO!". Only one of us was amused."

I am still giggling:)

heatwave

It is warm in Estonia. Finally! I am truly happy and oh so comfortable. When it was June 20th, and I was waiting for a bus, still wearing my woollen spring coat, I was truly considering moving to Italy. But the Estonian gods must have heard it and on June 21st the summer started: on calendar and in real!

Since then it is usually max. 28 degrees and it is dry. It is a perfect summer weather! I love it!

However, those people who have no lived in Ottawa do not know how to appreciate it. It is unbearably hot for them and they leave work early, because they cannot take it (we don't have AC at work). I understand them, but I cannot join the complaining, as I really like it.

Life is good!

15 k

Last week was huge! I went running once again. This time Monika suggested, that lets try the 15 k trail. I felt fine and thought: sure, why not. (Even though last time we did 10k and decided that lets do the same for a few more times and THEN do 15. But why wait:))

And we did it! we ran 15 k. Easy and slow, chatting all the way. Actually we were so focused on chatting that Monikas' friend did not dare to say hi.
All this took us 1,5 h.

This is definitely my personal record!
