I found a recipe for making homeopathic vodka: http://www.sciscoop.com/make-your-own-homeopathic-vodka.html
I LOVE this idea!
I think it has a potential to save Estonians, for example. Because the 10 L and more pure alcohol per person per year is clearly too much and it may not be sustainable.
Too bad I don't believe in homepathy too much.
But I can see, how it can be a good trick in business:)

compliments
You have eyes of a fairy, He said.
I could sink into these eyes, He continued.
Should I get your coat and take you home, He said at last.
She LOVED that moment.
She enjoyed this time with all of Her cells.
And She said no...

snowing....
It is late. Or early. 3 am early.
I had a long nap and now I am up.
In love it may be dangerous
to reckon on time to count
on it time’s here and then
it’s gone I’m not thinking
of death or disaster but of
the slippage the unpredictable
disappearance of days on which
we were depending for happiness.
It is snowing.
Big, fluffy, gorgeous snowflakes dance slowly by my window.
I have missed this time.
I dream of wrapping myself in the blanket, sitting on my balcony and watching this quiet snow-waltz.
In love it may be dangerous
to reckon on time to count
on it time’s here and then
it’s gone I’m not thinking
of death or disaster but of
the slippage the unpredictable
disappearance of days on which
we were depending for happiness.

Sunday
I had a good Sunday.
First I slept in until 10 am.
I saw an apartment that my friend plans to buy and design. I cannot wait to see the final version.
Had a coffee with her and two more friends.
Made a delicious dinner (chili con carne).
Prepared pumpkin for winter.
Chatted with friends.
I heard a compliment.
Great day!
Perhaps a theme for today:
the last run

16 of October another running even was taking place: Tõstamaa jooks-run. It's essentially my home-borough. 7.5 km run.
I am not sure, what I was thinking, as I had not been running recently. But my cousin was going, and his girlfriend and my second cousin was going, so it was a family event and I thought it would be nice.
The weather was beautiful, too:)
But man, they were all REAL runners there. Me and my cousins gf were almost the only 'sunday runners'.
Nevertheless - I made it until the end. 48 minutes and 20 seconds for 7.5 k - not too bad:) Most importanly - I was not the last one and the 'stick-walkers' did not pass me:)
Later we did sauna and had beer and went for a walk on the beach and it was a really, really nice family weekend!

multiculturalism vs pluralism
In many discussions often Canada equals multiculturalism. And it is, I think. Multiculturalism definitely has an advantage. Whenever you bring different people together, something new and cool and useful can be created.
But apparently the word 'multiculturalism' has lost its initial meaning:
I like the pluralism word. I liked being 'Estonia' when I was studing in Canada. But when being a citizen, I would like to be a Canadian. But be part of different communities, Estonian being one of them.
One good paragraph from the article summarizing immigrants situation:
Immigrants should know they have an obligation to learn one of Canada’s official languages, to understand that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees both freedom of religion and expression, as well as women’s right to be treated equally. In turn, the host society has an obligation not just to recruit newcomers and their families, but also to find a place for them and to make use of their considerable talents. Immigrants care more about equal access to jobs, housing and education, than about support of cultural enrichment.
I was always surprised that people in Canada do not HAVE to learn the official language. In Estonia it is essential and for a reason.
And the other thing is this 'finding a place'. It still puzzles me how degrees and experiences acquired from the other countries just won't count in Canada. Oh, you were a highly appreciated plastic surgeon in Pakistan (or a kids doctor in Estonia etc)? Cool, but you need to do the entire medical doctor exam again in Canada. It is quite ridiculous. Actually, even when Canadians would study medicine outside of Canada, they need to do the North-American exams concurrently. It is also crazy.
And today my Canadian Estonian friend is seriously considering doing another Masters in Canada, as she can not find a job on her specialty otherwise.
I am back!
I am part of the society again!
I got internet on Monday. And it feels AMAZING. I have been deprived for way too long.
A lot has happened.
Obviously not all would have been worth sharing anyway. Some things have just lost the novelty by now. Some things have a different meaning in retrospect.
At least I will try to write updates more often. And most importantly - I have lots of Skype-dates to organize:)
