It is Kullionu's birthday today! Palju õnne:) I am celebrating in style - with a bottle of Estonian cider. Soon she will be here and we will celebrate - together!

But it also means that I only have a week left myself. There is so much talk about what needs to be done by the certain age. I still have so much that I should theoretically squeeze into this one last week. But whom am I kidding...

At least I got my education:)

happy spring 2010

Spring started yesterday. It is still cold here, and the snow is everywhere. But there is hope! As the city council wished, I hope the spring will come as true as the winter was. Helen and I went for a walk at the beach, coffee at the Tervise Paradiis, cake at home and concert at the Tallinn Gates. Good start indeed.

Latvians are good

A week ago I went to a concert with Katrin. It was a Latvian vocalgroup called Cosmos. And wow, it was really, really good! Six young and handsome dudes, singing in Latvian. And in English. And one song in 'Estonian' - it was made of sounds the way the Latvians hear Estonian.

And a few days before I went to listen to Heiki Mätlik on a classical guitar and Virgo Veldi on a saxophone. Small, intimate concert with a free glass of wine (or coffee and cake). Real nice experience!

Happy Birthday, Estonia

It is just past 9 am in Estonia. I am at the airport, waiting for the flight to Brussels. The airport is empty!
It is Estonian independence day:)
The celebrations got started already last night, when I arrived to Tallinn through the crazy snowstorm, with my little pink suitcase. Once I got up to the hill, where the fraternity's apartment is and where the celebrations took place, I was really warmed up. On my way I met a bunch of full-geared soldiers. Upon my arrival they were ordered to clear the path (Mehed , rada vabaks). Very polite:) No-one volunteered to arry my suitcase though.

The party was great! Lots of nice people, old friends, music and dancing. A few businessideas got discussed and contacts created. But dancing was the best!
(As usual, or used to be usual) I was the last girl to leave, along with other 3 girls (also amicas). Altogether only highly positive emotions!
We got home past 5 am. Thankfully I found a couch to stay on. Otherwise I was considering spending these few morning hours at the partyspot (as they did not seemed to mind of me moving in).
We did not make it to the flag raising - it was at 7.33. Next year:)

But I did get to the airport nice and early. The weather is just perfect. Sunny and clear and nott too cold.
I will continue the celebrations in Brussels:) (at the same fraternity:))

This is how many times I have made it to the gym this year. Not bad, methinks. I have even upgraded from a baby-barbell (1 kg on each end) to a bigger one with 3.5 kg on each end. Next to the others it still looks tiny though. I even recruited Helen to come along:)

So overall it could be good to be unemployed (for a bit).
