accidents don't give a warning ahead

So while I was away in Tallinn for a tourist tour, my mom managed to slip and fall. AND break her upper arm. The good things are that it was a work-accident and that was a left arm and that the rest is ok.
Overall - it is a good thing that I am at home now.

Sent from Pärnumaa

I added a new gadget to my gmail - the one that adds your location to your e-mail. In the end of my e-mails there are my signature and "Sent from Pärnumaa".
I had to send a bunch of work-related e-mails to Canada. One lady e-mailed me back right away, wondering, what does "Sent from Pärnumaa" means. She though it is a new technological gadget, something like "Blackberry".
Cute:)

it wasn't me...

... who stole winter from Ottawa.
I talked to Dorota last night and it turns out that there is no winter in Ottawa. They only have about -1 degrees of Celsius. And we have -15 C. Stable. For an entire month. It has been pretty. But a little chilly as well.
It is special, as it was about 10 years ago, when we had a winter like this. Usually it is rather dark and grey, no snow and relatively warm.
I still prefer the white (and cold) version:)

Mongolia

I read another book 'Minu Mongoolia' (My Mongolia). And now I want to go to Mongolia. And I want the half-wild Mongolian dog bankhar. Good book. Soovitan. It is spiritual - about finding your spot in this world. It is about uncatchable love. described in a really interesting way. And catchable love. I liked it.
'Kogu selletalvine ilu ei mahu enam maa peale ära'.
'The entire beauty of this winter is not fitting onto this Earth.'

Cannot be said better about the current winter!
Another interesting quote:
'Kellelgi pole õigust sekkuda vägisi maailma asjade kulgemisse. Iga kord kui oma pea sees või südames tekkinud tundeid või kiindumust väljendan, löön kedagi jalaga pähe - surun peale enda tahtmisi, enda veendumusi, enda tundeid. Las läheb nii nagu läheb, sinna ei saa midagi parata.'

'No-one has a right to interrupt the goings of the world. Every time when I express the feelings that appeared in my head or in my heart, I kick someone into the head, as I will impose my will, my feelings. Let everything go as it goes, it cannot be helped.'

1 month

I have been in Estonia for 1 month already. And it has been great! I am happy! Really happy!

-I have been able to rest and relax! I go to bed at 1 am and wake up at 11 am:)
-I have read books.
-I went to three concerts. Siiri Sisask's concert was entertaining, as my mom got some free tickets, given as a thank you for a volunteer work at the church fo
r some lady and so Kristen and I went.
We had to enter through the backdoor of the church and 'act normal'. We succeeded, if to except the fact that I almost fell over when we entered, as we missed the step. And then we took a sweet spot in the second row where we had a perfect view on the microphone. Little did we know that there was another one behind the piano and this is where she spent the majority of the concert. We had an excellent view on her red shiny shoes though! Jõulupuudutus (Christmas touch) concert was packed. Reelika and I were sitting on the stairs, close to the ceiling. The view was great. I just wished I would have brought my glasses, as I could not see Tanel Padar too clearly. The third concert was by Rein Rannap and Riho Sibul on the 25th of December. Kullionu and I went with our mothers.
And it was over the top concert. With chills and everything. Absolute highlight.
- I visited Tartu and was able to catch up with Mari-Liis. And I attended the sorority meeting, where 50% of people were pregnant. We went to the Christmas party with Estica and danced until the morning (we left at 7 am or so). I attended the wild christmas party by my
undergrad institute. Good times.
- Kristen, Rasmus and I went to the wetland in Tolkuse and watched the sunset on the beach.
- I spent Christmas in Tõstamaa at my grandmothers. So nice.

- Reelika and Kullionu and Co and I had our traditional Christmas
together. We used to have it for years, and then there was a break while I was away. And now we had it again. Super nice. Real good food, Santa and gifts.
Of course, I missed out on Santa :( It seems to happen EVERY time...
- lots of caffe lattes
- visiting Tallinn to meet my other side of the family

- lots of walks on the beach

What could be better? :)

seven years

"Tunded olid talveunes seitse pikka aastat,
ei nad keerand kälge ega tõusnud üles maast nad.
Lumevaiba all nad seitse aastat magasid.
Saabus kevad, tunded tulid unest tagasi." (Merca raamatust nimega 'Mees')

Free translation:
"Feelings were in the wintersleep for seven long years,
no turning, no getting up.
Under snow cover they slept for seven years.
Spring arrived, the feelings came back from sleep." (Book called "Man" by Merca)

I went to Tallinn last Sunday and on my way back I read the book "Mees" in 2 hours. It was great. Soovitan (ainult et 245 krooni on tiba soolane hind).
This quote and I felt some attraction. In some way it quite literally describes my current situation. I have been away for almost seven years. And even though there is a true winter outside, the feelings have their spring.
But what am I supposed to do with them? The feelings, that is. It's funny how some things just stay as they are...
And now here I am: the head says one thing and the feelings follow their own idea.

Hello, 2010

2009 was an immensly important year for me. Lots of big things. The biggest and sweetest are the three special letters, of course! I finally got to pick this sweet price I had to work my ass off for years.
I had this "idee fixe" - to take the 2009 together somehow. And here it is. My little pet project that needed to get done before I can continue with the rest of the ideas that I have. The quality is not the best here, as I had to make it a tiny file, but still:)

Now - onto new big things! A new decade is here to conquer!
