Already on Friday after TAing I didn't feel great...
On Saturday I woke up at 5.40 and I felt horrible. I had the worst headache in the world and I was freezing. And my apartment is usually 25 degrees, plus I sleep under a down blanket. I had nothing to kill the pain, so I was shivering and suffering the pain, and waiting for the morning to arrive, so I could get up and get something to kill the pain.
I got up around 10, and discovered that I have hard time standing up... And then I also discovered that the reason for that is the fever that was a bit over 39. Not THAT much, but very annoying... I still had to go to the store to get some drugs... It was a long walk... down the hill, thankfully. I also decided to get some oranges and milk, as I don't drink tea without milk. And I also got some drugs. I took the first package I saw - it was in red - Tylenol. I walked up the hill. I got home. I boiled some water to make tea. And then I sat down to enjoy my tea and have the saving pill. And - there was no Tylenol to be found. I was so mad. I thought that it must be somewhere. I even thought that maybe I already had some. I wasn't sure... So - I gathered some energy, and went BACK to the store to inquire about my drugs. Yes, they were there.... What an idiot - of all the three things I bought I decided to forget the one I actually needed.
Anyway. I got my drugs, and vegetated on the couch in the delirium. At 4 I took more drugs. Because I HAD to get the fever down. Because I had a date planned for the night. A blind date, to be more exact. I should explain.
So. On Tuesday my supervisors wife calls me. And her first question is: are you single? Er...yes, I said. Good. Because I just went to the hairdresser, and the owner of the place was a really nice guy. You should go for a coffee with him. His name is Amir and his from Iran.
I agreed. After all, why not?
And he called me, and we decided to go at 7 on Saturday. And now it was Saturday, and I had this delirium-fever. Not good... But by 7 I got the fever down.
He came to pick me up, and he arrived ... in a BMW. In Estonia it wouldn't be worth mentioning, but in Canada BMW is not a common car. But I thought, that BMW then BMW, whatever. But then we drove off, and the car sounded very loud. And to me it sounded like, if you drive standard, and you have a wrong gear. But this had automatic gears, or how you call it (automaatkäigukast). And also I was able to feel all the holes in the road, which made me think that the amorts are not well. So my first impression was... interesting. Today I chatted to my friend, and we figured out that some cars (I guess the higher end ones) are not actually comfortable. And we decided it must be a guy things. Otherwise he seemed nice. Most importantly - he eats meat. He laughed at my question, but then agreed, that eating habits are important. But seriously, after last time somebody refused to use my dishes, as he thought they are "contaminated" with meat, I have to make this kind of important things clear right from the beginning.
I also have another criteria, that is rather funny. That is that the shoes gotta be good. Not expensive or something, but just OK looking, and in a more less good shape. I have gone against this criteria twice, and it has been a HUGE mistake. I am pretty sure, that I'm just prejudice, but...
The Sunday came, and I was hoping to be OK. But no. My head still hurt, and my eyes really, really hurt. I thought that it is because I have been indoors for too long. So I called a friend, and we went to feed ducks. it was FUN. I got back, and the feelings were the same. Kahtlane... I called my friend (she is a doctor), and she explained me, that of course I feel all these things, because it is a virus, and I am still sick. She was so optimistic, as she said, that "don't think that it will pass quickly, even if the fever passed". Hmmm... So I guess I won't go to the lab tomorrow.
At 7 on Sunday we had plans to go to see live recording for CBC radio show "Afghanada". This was AMAZING. So intense, and so captivating. It plays on Wednesday and Friday nights at 11 or 11.30 pm. It's great! It's a story about Canadian troop in Afghanistan - about their life, feelings, experience, relations... Very neat!
So all in all it wasn't completely wasted weekend. But still... I could have accomplished SO much more....

Hi, I'm a newbie here, but I already want to bring all the benefits of me :) So, I want to share my experience with you..
9 days ago, accidentally, i had found the Mobile Phone TV...and I was so delighted with this application
that I decided to talk to you :)
I consider myself a bit of a road warrior. I am on and off jets and through airports at least twice,
usually 4 times a week. I can catch up on news, watch a Discovery program, check up on the stock market or just find something interesting.
The live guide works like cable at home and the connection speed is very good. All in ALL - I RATE A 5 Star program!
but I do not want to leave any links here, so you can email me fairyalexiss@gmail.com
and i will give you the site of this unusual program :)
(but please don't PM me, because it's so difficult to communicate in such kind of way)
so, I hope I was helpful to you)) see you in next posts ..
sincerely
your Alexis....
p.s. English is not my native language, so sorry for any mistakes :)
